Re: My big female off food
Might just be fussy, or thinking about starting a shed cycle. Keep an eye out for her to go opaque, and if she doesn't just try again next week. It's winter--no big deal.
As for getting her to take FT...once you have her eating regularly again, rub the warmed FT rat in fresh rat pee (such as a live rat's 'latrine' corner), and then offer it to her. She may have a better opinion of it then.

Just make sure your husbandry is on spot and that she is well hydrated and wait it out, at this size she could go months without food and I mean more than just 2 months. ;)
Re: My big female off food
She could go awhile without eating and be fine. She will eat when she is hungry
Re: My big female off food
Don't worry. My big girl hasn't eaten in a few months either. It's probably due to the move/breeding season. She should come around eventually. :gj:

Re: My big female off food
UPDATE: NEW QUESTION:
I did have her in with an 08 mojave for a night or two... I spoke with the breeder who said its very possible she is gravid... She doesn't look gravid nor has she started a shed. She is still active etc... He said if she doesnt eat or show signs of being gravid then he will switch her out with another large proven female that has been locking up with a mojave.
1. I want to start breeding her again... Is this a bad idea while she is off feed?
2. Would she try to eat or kill my little 08 mojave? he is prob 3 feet, wont let me pop him so I can't see if he has plugs but I wouldn't doubt it. Would you reccomend putting them in there?
3. When I did put them in there, the mojo hid from her... She would be in her hide and he would get under the newspaper... Is this normal?
Thanks y'all

Re: My big female off food
My females go off food when it comes to breeding season, for me it just happens.
Then once they have been bred and starting to get bigger, they start eating again.
Aslong as she doesnt lose a HUGE amount of weight your ok mate.
Mine went off food for 5 months and not shes eating again, its all good.
