My best advice would be to watch her while she is out, and also to keep her out until she goes. When she does go, give lots of praise then bring her back in.

I agree 100% with tweets_4611, also until she is a little more reliable in the house you might want to consider keeping her on a leash at your side while she's indoors and crating her whenever you're not available to supervise. Preventing accidents is a lot easier than dealing with them after the fact!

This may sound icky, but take some of her poo and a paper towel soaked with her pee, and leave it out in the backyard. Take her out the next time she's due (try to place her close to the poo and pee) and wait as long as it takes this one time for her to do her business. Once she does it, praise her highly. It might take a few more times of this, but your main concern right now is to get her to appreciate the backyard as her toilet. It gets easier from there on (not that you won't still have accidents every once in a while). Good luck!!!

Another thing is if you are free feeding/watering. If you put her on a schedule its easier to know when she will need to potty.

x2 just watch her, and when you bring her back inside watch her, when she starts sniffing the ground get her outside because more then likely she is going to go if she dident go outside.
