Anyone have any experience with heat cord?
This stuff? A local breeder/pet store claims they are great for them and I have seen the proof almost all of my 14 BP's are from them.

Same thing that comes with the Vision racks. Works fine. I use it no problems.
The Vision has a easy way to route the cable so it works out well.
I have one in my incubator also.

The stuff above is like 1/8" wide, its really thin.
Is that the same stuff they use?
This product is shown using it inside enclosures wrapped around branches and stuff.
It's not the same kind of heat rope AP uses in some of their racks and cages which is decent stuff.
Id just use Flexwatt.

Re: Anyone have any experience with heat cord?
I use them on vision racks (they came with it) and I hate them.
Now heat cables from Animal Plastic rack are of a much higher quality and work very well.
Remember that to use with rack you will need groves in your rack. ;)
Re: Anyone have any experience with heat cord?
they work, but flexwatt is IMO superior in performance and reliability to both that heat cord and the heat cables that AP gives as an option on their cages and racks.
Re: Anyone have any experience with heat cord?
Yeah Heat cable is great but not that red stuff thats not the best you wont the one that is brown that is what all me Vision Racks have come with and I love them. Just stay away from the red ones they are low wattage for inside of a tank and not the smartest thing to do think Heat rocks in the 90's.

A buddy of mine uses some type of heat cable (not the red) and he has it under the cage on his Super Dwarf Retics. Works great for him.
