She is on a roll!

So far my normal female has been locking every time I introduce a male. Maybe its the weather (we've been getting a lot of snow) but I'm seeing definite locks every single time! And her follicles are huge! I'm getting so excited!

Ignore the messy tub. They like to make a complete mess every time. I don't know how many times I've cleaned that tub and changed that paper over the past few weeks now. As soon as they are done locking I have to go clean it again. :rolleyes:

And just to throw her in there, Sadis. Only a few grams away from me tossing in a boy. I put a male in with her a while ago but decided to give her some more time. She's still slamming small rats once a week.

Sadis could easily be taking medium rats. It may also help her get up to weight faster. :gj:

Well when I say small rats, some of these small rats are easily 100g.

Yep, I have a mouse/rat sizing chart saved on my computer. The store sells them to me as small rats and they range between 60-100g.

Congrats. I think everyone should get a pass on breeding photos when it comes to a little poo in the corner. Everytime I catch a pair of mine locked there seems to be either a big pile o' poo or some nasty urates. It drives me nuts that I have to wait for them to finish, but we can't disturb the lovebirds can we?

Actually we have noticed smaller meals help the follicles grow quicker, when we feed bigger meals they don't grow as fast. Just what we have noticed. :salute:
Also thats with using the ultrasound.

I palpated Akina again to see where her follicles were size wise and they feel so much different now. They feel softer but they are the same size. Is she reabsorbing them or is she getting close to ovulating. She is still locking with the boys. Her last lock was late last week.
