    From rats to mice?
Hi everyone, I had a question. Is it strange that my male ball went from rats back to mice? It started a few months back when he stopped eating for about 2 months, I'm guessing due to the weather change and breeding season?

He was eating small rats before, and then started his fasting, and a couple weeks ago I tried feeding him a rat but kept rejecting them. So, I figured let me try a mouse and see what happens, and he eats them like candy. But now I have to feed him like 4 adult mice for him to even get full.

Do you guys have any advice? I've tried coaxing him into eating a rat by placing a mouse near him and right next to a rat so he would get the rat instead, but he won't have it.

I'm really not into feeding him tons of mice every week =/

I have had this happen. They do go back to rats eventually.

Mine prefered to have a small meal (mice) while they were off-feed. They usualy eat small rats.

I think that mice have a higher fat content than rats. Maybe that's what turns BP into mice eaters.

    Just a guess,
