    What's going on now?
I've been breeding my 2700 grams female with my 700 grams male regularly since late October now. The female is still eating well, she's even striking for food which is something she has never done the last 2 years she's been with me.. and the male has refused food for about 1 1/2 month now, but he's healthy and good.
The male turns 2 years old in June, the female is born in 2005.

I think they have locked up at least 7-9 times, the first 3-4 times they stayed locked for almost 3 days. The latest locks has lasted for about 1-2 days.

But.. still nothing has happened. This is my first time ever breeding snakes, and I know there really isn't any 100% sure that she will get gravid, but.. I'm just trying to eliminate things I might be doing wrong with them?

Would the male breed if he wasn't mature?
Would she still accept him if she didn't feel ready to breed?
What is really the usual waiting-time from a lock up to eggs? Is it common that it requires several lock ups before she gets gravid?

My female has never been bred before, and neither the female or the male has a heating pad under their tubs now. I have my snakes in a room I heat up to around 82,5 degrees. I didn't lower the temperatures too much during November-February, but a little. (around 77-78 degrees, probably)

I haven't had the chance to weigh her yet, since my scale went out of batteries for about 2 weeks ago, and due to personal stuff I have forgotten to buy new batteries for it. Would there be much difference in her weight when she is gravid?

Any insight on what's going on?

My first season breeding I was advised to just keep pairing until I saw an ovulation. I started breeding in October and my first clutch wasn't laid until May 5th.

They progress on their own schedule. As long as she'll still lock with him, keep pairing them up!

I would say that her feeding response is due to her putting on weight in preparation for eggs. I would keep feeding her.
