Just use water.....
Re: shed spray. good or bad?
just soak in water around 84 degrees for 10 mins or so for about two days and youll be able to rub ur fingers threw the snake and pull off any of the remaining skin. So far ive had only one had shed out of 22.

Re: shed spray. good or bad?
Won't hurt, but probably won't help either. For good sheds, maintain proper humidity in the enclosure. I don't spray or soak any of my 50 snakes, they all shed just fine without my intervention! :)

Re: shed spray. good or bad?
I have a spider who always seemed to have a rough time shedding, particularly in the winter months. I tried soaking, misting and keeping the humidity up and it didn't seem to matter. I ended up picking up a bottle of the Zoo Med repti shedding aid and it works like a charm. I spray him about a week before he sheds, and he sheds great now. I got curious so I tried it on a few other snakes who would shed, but not in the those neat little completed rolls. There would be patches here and there that would stick but could be peeled off. After spraying them about a week before shed they would have completed rolled up sheds. If you have a problem shedder give it a try, you may be surprised...

Re: shed spray. good or bad?
i keep a fairly constant humidity of 55-60% where my reps are...
the only ones that get sprayed (once out of blue) are the albinos and pieds,
because their skins seem to be thinner than the norm
Re: shed spray. good or bad?
I've tried it, it didn't help any more than misting with water.
The biggest difference I found was putting in a considerably larger water bowl. My rescued snake had the worst shed ever two sheds ago (when I tried the spray), but after adding the bigger water bowl it cleared right up and her next shed was almost perfect.
Moral of the story? Save money on spray and buy a bigger bowl :)
