Hmmm... Well considering I sleep with cotton stuffed in my ears, a fan on high to drown out noise, a CD of celtic music on repeat on the night stand right next to me so its the only thing I can hear, and between 2 and 6 mg of melatonin...

Nope. Didnt feel a thing til 8am when my son woke me up.

    That is crazy though.

An earthquake with 12 inches of snow on the ground seems weird, lol.

I'm used to imaginaing them Californians having earthquakes with their little palm trees and sunny days.

But nah, I didn't feel it.

    Many others did at work.

There could be a team of sewer repairmen outside my house and I wouldn't hear or feel the vibrations or noise for quite a while... but an earthquake as teeny as a mouse fart will almost always get me jumping like a mexican bean from a solid sleep!

I think I'd have probably been alright with them if mom hadn't been so cold-hearted to me in the '89 quake. grr!

What's the deal with all of the non-earthquake areas getting hit with rumblers? Is the world coming to an end? Apocalypse?

Nah.. We actually live on one of the biggest fault lines in america. They have been expecting it to really let a big one go at some point because it has been so "quiet" for so many years. We have actually had quite a few earthquakes in my lifetime near Chicago. The first was when I was a little kid but my grandfather who was visiting and asleep on the couch woke up because of it.

Another one hit about 12 years ago. My cousin Deana was living in southern IL and she called me freaking out. I guess pictures were rattling on her wall. I always seem to miss our northern midwest earthquakes lol. They never rate higher than a 3.6 or so. Usually much lower than that.

Some of the midnight guys where I work were telling me tonight that they all felt it. Water in the water coolers was sloshing around and they all felt the chairs they were sitting in in the breakroom vibrating.

Wish I had been awake :(
