    Need some more quarantining precautions
As I am going to foster for some snakes that came from that place in Arlington, I will be quarantining them and taking the correct procedures so none of my established collection gets infected. No reptiles of my established collection will be in the same room as the quarantined reptiles.

The precautions I know of so far is:
Do everything last with the quarantined reptiles
    -Spot cleaning
    -Feeding
    -Handling
    -Changing water

    Keep things sanitized
    -Wash hands after handling
-Wash off the tongs I used for them with soap and then put in rubbing alcohol for a few minutes to kill any bacteria
-Keep area where quarantined reptiles are clean

Keeping reptiles away from the quarantined
-Bring no reptiles in the same room as the quarantined
-No interaction with established reptiles and quarantined reptiles

What other precautions should I take?

I use 2 sets of tools and everything else for that matter. I don't use the same tongs, different gloves, etc. I also have a small room that is on the other side of the house for my QT room.

I would also change my clothes and put them in the laundry room. That is what we do when we get back from a show. I have heard that mites can travel on you. They don't really like you....but they will use you as a conduit

I like to clean everything with this product.

I actually clean my rat cages and snake tubs with this stuff several times a month. It is hospital grade and it kills everything, bacteria, viruses and fungus/mold. Best part is you can get it at Home Depot. One jug lasts a long time as you dilute it ALOT with water.

I do have another set of tongs that I can use, and I will be sure to change my clothes after I am done with them for the day.

Would scrubbing the other set of tongs with soap and soaking it in rubbing alcohol be effective or would I need certain chemicals to be able to get rid of all the germs (if necessary).
