    Question About Quarantine
Hi. This is my first post here at BP.net. I am picking up a BP in about 2 weeks and i have been on this sight reviewing some info. May i say thank you for all the good info! I have read the sticky quarantine thread and it is good but does not answer all my questions. I have limited space and I am unable to keep my BP in a seperate room from my already established Boa. I can keep the tanks about 10 feet apart, but I was wondering if anyone had any ideas I could use, or special precautions to take to prevent the spread of any disease, parasite, ect. Thanks in advance for all your help!

    Thanks,
    Bill

Treat both enclosures with Provent-a-Mite before the new animal arrives.

Handle and deal with your already established Boa first before you mess with the new acquisition.

    Re: Question About Quarantine
I would wash my hands or mabey take a shower in between handling an established boa or the ball python.

The boa could possibly transmit IBD to the ball python (although rare) or the ball python could transmit some other infection or disease to the boa.

I would honestly try to get the ball in a different room. Just put the snake in a tub instead of a tank and it will take up less space. Could you possibly put it in the closet? that would be better than nothing.
