Knew to retics, have boa and burmese, but not real familar with retics?

Retics are one of the smartest snakes :gj:.Young retics can be bite happy little snotts :rolleyes:.My 13ft was not a biter at all just a VERY curious snake :P

It depends, every snake is different.
Younger seem to be nippy, older retics calm down with proper handling, like most snakes, they are much faster, smarter, and stronger than burms.

Be sure to hand select your babies if possible. Also don't handle prey items before handling your retic. They are typically VERY hardy eaters. My juvie tagged me on the chin this morning. Normally he'd never bite me, but I forgot that I'd had a rat cleaning my goatee about 10 minutes prior.
