One question, I know that there are different lines of pastels, can anyone look at mine and tell the difference? Thanks!

Re: My little guys
Well the male pastel looks like a blonde pastel and the last picture looks like a lemon, cause of the color and blushing, but honestly looks like someone mixed pastels to get your female pastel. Still very nice though!

Thanks. Hopefully my female stays light like that, I got a feeling the male is gonna get darker with age tho. I have a male mojave on the way friday. I hopefully gonna get another female pastel and a few spiders between the next 2 shows Im goin to. Probly gonna get most of the stuff at Hamburg, PA on the 27th.

Yeah if i can give you any advice, get a blonde pastel with a lot of pale going up his side. When you get blonde pastels, they ARE going to brown out a lot over time, but you can get really really nice ones with high yellow sides and then you'll be good for down the road.
If you can though, get a lemon pastel like your female. A Spider is a very good choice and can be had for anywhere from $150 up.

Re: My little guys
Lovely collection!
Unfortunately you can't say definitively what line of pastel they are by pictures. Genetics from the breeder is only way. My male pastel (Lemon/NERD line) started to darken at about a year old, but then at 1.5 he started to lighten again. He looks really nice now. He lost his bold yellow color, it's a light pale yellow now. There are good and bad bad examples in each line, but lemons seem too hold on to their yellows/lightness the best.

As Stephanie (Isis) said, you can't be sure what line of pastel you have by the picture.

Really? In the Hunter's Guide, it says something a little different:

My blonde pastels certainly haven't browned out much. My male has stayed about the same, and my female has definitely gotten brighter. Her yellow is not as intensely yellow, but it is bright. Not brown at all.
I think the bottom line is that it doesn't matter so much what line it is. Some pastels brown out a lot, some don't. Oranges tend to turn brown. The ones that look really yellow as babies tend to look the best as adults.
