The ad says it is a rare Lampropeltis calligaster rhombomaculata. "What makes this kingsnake rare though is that it's primary color is green as opposed to grey/brown."
I googled that scientific name, and came up with mole king snake, but the pics don't look like that snake.
My best guess was Thayeri, but I don't know kings very well.
They only want $40 for the snake & tank, which appears to be a 20g long with screen top, so I'm tempted, but would want to be sure on the species before I acquired it.
Re: What kind of king is this?
Very well could be a Mole King, they vary a ton in pattern and overall coloring. They do get a nice size. In NC farmers find a ton in the Spring when they prep the fields. Only thing, depending on where the person lives it migh be wild caught so be careful putting it with your other stuff.https://ball-pythons.net/gallery/fil...alligaster.jpg This is the baby I caught last season.
Re: What kind of king is this?
It kind of resembles these mole kings. They're pretty variable so I think he's probably right. The only way to be sure would be to get the snake and do scale counts and all that fun stuff.
Re: What kind of king is this?
100% Thayeri without a doubt, and $40 is an excellent price for all that you're getting.

Thanks for the answers. Sadly, the seller doesn't seem to be responding. :(
