    Thats.....odd
So, I picked up a couple nice dinker females for next year at the columbus reptile show on the 16th. They were a decent size (800 grams) and definitely cool looking enough for me to swipe up. Well...one I have is a nice chocolatey granite type looking girl with a nice light brown head. I went to check on all my snakes this morning and she was the last one and BOOOM eggs??? Wtf. She is small as heck, so I made sure she wasn't egg bound with any more and separated her from her two viable eggs. I never would have thought. What jackass left this girl where she could get pregs; and what sucks is that now she will probably throw small clutches for the rest of her life- but at least she is alive. Anyone else have any odd stories like this one?? pics.

Aww that poor girl~! If you breed your own feeders you can add Pedialyte to their water and it'll chalk the rats up for this girl~

man that just wrong in my book but heck I hope that both the eggs hatch and they give you a heck of a nice surprise babies ( just to irk the guy off a lot I send him a note or something letting him know she dropped eggs ( if the drinkers all came from the same guy I consdier checking them for signs of eggs too) cause you may end up with a lot of possible trouble or extra mouths to feed and not be ready.
i hope you have a incubator ready to go lol surprises are always that when your not prepared.

i had a pair of rescues a while back they were house together. I had just gotte nthem cleard from QT and later that day picked up another snake that went into QT well It had mites and I had managed to transport a couple to the snake room ( and with in a week they were bad ) I placed the snakes in to bags and sat into anthoer room for the night. Bps in 2 and others in another) wel lthe rescue pair got tossed together. I treated for mite and wiped them all out in a single go ( got to love strong chemicals ) and a day spent cleaning the room afterwards. I go tp place the snake back inther cages and here the pair locked up mating . anyhow it was not even a month later i had edds ( so I figuring she was gravid befoer i got her and he was just grabbing another chance . ( I got 2 of the babies left and they about the 800+ gram range now.) I was never prepared and I was looknig for all kinds of info/temp setup help until the hobuvator came in ( took about 4 days ) but I had 100% hatch rate and got it set up and ready for this year with a hope of getting a pied or 5 lol if I get lucky.

Wow. That stinks getting snakes with mites, I have never had any fortunately, but it was cool that you got eggs! Luckily I have my incubator already set up.

    Poor baby!

I HOPE it was an accident, but more likely being irresponsible. Especially if he had multiple snakes.

At least now she has someone to take good care of her. Hopefully she'll recover nicely, and maybe in a couple of years when she's ready to go again, she'll surprise you with a good, big clutch.

It's a good thing you know what to do with those eggs, can you imagine if someone new to snakes ended up with her? <<shudder>>

Keep us updated on her progress and her eggs. I'll be rooting for you all!
