Avatars

I have no idea if this is possible, but it would be awesome if we could click on someone's avatar and it would bring up a full sized pic. I can't tell you how many times I've clicked on an avatar wanting to get a better look at the pic.

No,

avatars are restricted to small thumbnail size because there are literally thousands of them.

I view 40 posts per page. I wouldn't want to wait on 40 huge images to load. That would increase the server load way too much.

I wouldn't want 40 full sized images to load either, but I thought it might be possible for the avatars to load as they currently do, then a person could click on them if they wished to see the full sized image, and only after being clicked on would the full sized image load. I thought that was the whole point of thumbnail images when they are used in other places?

I have also seen many avatars that I wish I could see the full sized picture.
