    I hope this isn't a sign of what 2010 is to bring.
    So we had a nice little week of warmth here in Central, TX so I decided to do a little herping on my day off.

    First thing I find, and only besides a ground skink I didn't get a pic of, is this dinky little flathead snake.

    Cute, and maybe a good sign to find something so soon in the year. But hopefully I find bigger and better things come spring time. :please:

    All the time. More than rough earth's these days. I used to not be able to flip anything without seeing a rough earth under it

    Well, january is notoriously crappy in Texas. I went out this weekend and didn't find anything under 50+ sheets of tin and a full day in the forest.

    Yeah it wont pick up here till mid march to april. Sucks.
