I use that exact one on my 32qt vision racks and i have never had a problem. I've seen posts from other people saying it failed and cooked their snakes.
untill mine fail ill keep using them. I'm in the process of getting a couple cb70 racks and i will buy two more BAH-1000s. They are cheap and effective.

I have never used one so I don't know. But I would say you dont want to go cheap on the one thing that protects you snakes from a bad burn If you look at what vet costs will be to treat 1 burned snake I bet that costs more than a good thermostat. And if you use it on a rack you are risking burning more than one so personally I think the $60.00 dollars more for a herpstat is well worth it.

I have a herpstat....haven't used it yet as I am still waiting for the racks. But I have heard amazing things about them. I will always go with the top of the line stuff when it comes to this as I am a total worry wart.....I want to plug it in and not worry about it failing.
