Oh wow!

oooook soo this really made me mad the other day... i was watchin this tv show.. and they made pythons sound like they are realy realy dangerous.. ook so there was this vid of a dude with his BURM! python.. and they said it was a ball.. but there was nooooooooooooooooooo way it was a ball.. it was prolly round 4 ro 6 ft.. i know balls can get up to that size but i know the dif between ball pythons and burms.. and this was a burm no ? about it..

and well this burm bit this like 6 yr old girl.. and she just bled a lil bit thats it!!!

and the people on the tv show went off!!!

they started saying she could have died!!!! from the bite.. which wasn't that bad...

and the girl who is now about 13 said "i was sooo afraind it was going to eat me"

IT WAS NOT THAT BIG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

and the people on the tv said this girl will be haunted in her dreams for the rest of her life because of this pet snake!...

thats not word for word but really close to it...

omg it just pissed me off that they were making this lil bite into this huge thing!!! :taz:

i dont want it to happen but, it would be funny to see the govt. try to put a ban on dogs and cats and such. watch how many people freak out!! im in the army and ive been to iraq and everywhere and done all that. let someone try to take my snake (soon to be multiple)!!!

Is that the one where they wwere on vacation or something? And the little girl is waving her hand in front of the snakes face... and the owner of the snake assured the people that the snake didn't bite. All snakes bite. When people ask me if my snakes bite I always say yes even though they have never bitten me.

That reminds me of when my husband and I adopted our second adult BP. Long story short, his previous owner had brought him to the pet shop to try and get them to "adopt" the snake since he broke it's enclosure.

When my son said something about us having one like it, he gave him to us. So while hubby and I are standing there trying to figure out how we just ended up with another snake, this teenage girl and her parents came by, and the girl was really freaked out by the snake on my shoulders. She was all, "Aren't they dangerous?" I said no, not really. Then she says," Can't it bite?" I said ANYTHING with a mouth can bite, including you! She looked at me real funny for a few minutes, then she laughed and said yeah, she guessed she could. Then she real shyly asked if she could pet it. I told her yes, just not by his head since that spooks them. She reaches out and just barely touches one finger to it's back. Then she was all, "It's so soft!" I laughed and said yes they are. Then she had to actually pet him. Was pretty neat.

But the point is, anything can and will bite if it is put in the wrong situation, including dogs, cats, mice, hamsters, guinea pigs, ferrets, etc. When I was a child, I knew and understood ANY animal will bite if not approached properly, and I would never have attempted anything so foolish. Perhaps I was just more intelligent than kids today.

It perturbs me also to see snakes given a bad rap. It kind of cracks me up when they are talking about "dangerous or poisonous" snakes on a tv show and it's clearly a ball. I will have to admit to being deathly afraid of any and all snakes before we got our first ball. I now know that snakes are some of the coolest, most awesome reptiles around!!

i will agree with you on the 1st thing you said.. i laugh sooooo freaking hard cuzz i see on tv people freaking out over a snake somewhere it shouldn't be saying oh no its going to eat us.. and they show it on the screen and its just a 4 ft ball python... hahahaha..

but at the same time it makes me mad cuzz some people will beleive what they hear/see on tv
