Wow. My 1.5 year old female BP just made me laugh. I fed the other snakes (non-BP and smaller than my BP for now) first, so my BP got a nice whiff of rat before I moved onto her small rat.
I put her into her feeding enclosure, got the rat warm, and went over to the enclosure with the warm rat in a small box with paper towel in the bottom. I then use tongs to grab the tail and present it. I lifted the lid and she was ready for ACTION! She came at me a few times, saw the box, figured out what was in there, and jumped right in and grabbed the rat and pulled it back into her enclosure. I have never seen her do anything like this. I call it feeding rage. Very funny.
