    Rate of growth
I'm thinking of trying out a Columbian Boa and wanted to know the rate of growth. I'm hoping I'd have a few years before it hit more than 5 feet am I right?

All depends how much you feed it.

I don't know their rate of growth but it's best to be prepared for the worst in most cases. Is there a reason why you want to wait a few years? Just curious.

Prep time really. I'm very new to snakes and right now I have a 9 month old and 2 year old BP. That being said, I'm more accustomed to smaller snakes. I'd really like to adventure into the world of boas as I think they are beautiful and some of the most friendly snakes out there (I've only had the pleasure of holding one myself, but in my readings on the animal I've read a lot of the same) I guess what I'm trying to say is, I'm not much for quick change.
