Ball MIA
My ball got out and was just wandering where other people have found there BP's.

Re: Ball MIA
Start by looking everywhere within about a six foot radius. Anywhere dark, tight, warm. This includes under, behind, inside of anything they can fit. Look all around any computers, electronics, appliances that generate heat...

Re: Ball MIA
When my uncle lost his, they ended up finding it in a recliner. The cat wouldn't leave the recliner alone so they went to check it out. Sure enough, he had wedged himself inside.

Re: Ball MIA
When mine got out, I found him a few days later under his tank. Not sure how he got in there. A tip I've heard people use is put some flour on the floor in certain places and check on it in the morning to see if you can look for tracks.

Re: Ball MIA
when mine got out she instantly went down behind the dresser the cage is in and CHILLED THERE. pretty much rip everything apart near the area of the cage. 80 percent of the time they are still in that room.

Re: Ball MIA
Pick a day that you can spend a couple hours doing this...
Start in one specific room that is easy to search. Search it thoroughly, then seal it off. I mean tape around the door edges and everything. Work from there until you have narrowed down the space the little guy could be in.
I know this sounds kinda obvious, but when I lost my baby corn I found myself searching frantically from room to room and back again, and wasting my energy in the process.
Another thing to try is to leave out bait (whatever you normally feed it) and very nearby leave your snake's favourite hide and some mild heat source. Hopefully it he/she will eat, and go to the nearest warmth to digest. Viola, snake
Good luck!

Re: Ball MIA
i hope you find your bp soon but i see that it happens alot so i'm just wondering how do they escape?

Re: Ball MIA
You will find it either in the last place you look or in a common location after you've stopped looking for it. :rolleye2:
These snakes can drive you crazy when they get out.
But to try to help you. Look for dark, warm places. Look under a refrig, look anywhere that is warmer than the surrounding area. I've heard people finding them in a pile of laundry. In or under furniture. In bedding. Turn out all the lights in the house, turn up the heat to 85 degrees, then go around with a flashlight at about 2 am. If it's going to roam, it will be then.
Good Luck!
