    Feeding
Quick Q's for the pros out there...

    1. I've watched vids on feeding BP's but in general, do you all feed inside the enclosure?

I plan on using F/T because that is what Pro Exotics said he was eating but I do have a good empty sterilite (shoe box size) that I feed my corn in.

I read on your other thread that you jsut recently got your ball python. Don't attempt to feed it for one week starting from the day you got it. You are more likely to have a successful feeding if you wait the whole week.

I feed all my ball pythons in their home enlcosures. Most keepers do as well and there are a few who use a seperate container. Although, the snake is more likely to refuse food in a seperate container in my opinion.

You are correct, I did just receive it yesterday and I am going to wait to feed. I was just more curious to see if you fed at home or somewhere else. :)

    Re: Feeding
BPs will not eat if they feel stressed or insecure. Sometimes just moving them to a separate enclosure for eating is enough to make them not eat. For this reason, it is often best to feed them in their home. However, if feeding in a separate enclosure works for you & your snake, there is nothing wrong with it at long as you are careful when you put the snake back in its regular enclosure to avoid causing a regurge.

EDIT: To answer your actual question about what we do, all of my BPs are fed in their enclosures.

I Asked mainly because I feed my corn in a separate tank. But I'll just move his water bowl to prevent it from spilling and I'll try "in tank"

    Re: Feeding
My first ball python was fed in the bathtub for two years before I got her. I did the first feeding there but after posting here and reading comments I started feeding in the enclosure. Haven't had anything negative happen because of it. There are many reasons to feed outside their tank but if you consider how they would be eating in the wild, the enclosure seems like candyland.
