    Shedding Question.
    My ball python just ate and he hasnt shed yet since I got him for Christmas. He ate friday, when can i expect him to start shedding? And isnt it true that they get a little grumpier when they are shedding/Dont like being handled as much?????

    well it depends on the age and how much she is eating and growing.

    As far as grumpy...yes some of them do. Also some don't eat and some do....mine do. When they are in blue though they cannot really see very well. I try not to handle them when they are going into a shed. When I first started keeping my snakes someone put it to me like this.... Think of it as a sunburn on humans. Makes sense to me...so I tend to bump up the humidity and after they shed it is like Christmas.

    Usually 4 to 6 weeks! They will go dull with pink belly and blue eyes! When you see this then bump up the humidity!

    well my bp shedded the day after christmas. She has pieces of shed comming out around her eyes and her belly is getting pink. hopefully she will shed again soon. Should i bump the humidity up its at a set 50%?

    50% is too low. A lot of petshops (petsmart, petco, etc) advise humidity levels that are too low. generally 60-80% is nice, but you really want to be near the top of that when shed starts.
