Panther Gecko?

So i found these little guys on the petsmart website and am having a hard time actually finding any info about them. They look to be a terrestrial insect eater that needs slightly cooler temps than leos.

anyone have any sources for info or breeders of these guys? I'd love to learn and see more pictures.

Most people in the hobby will recognize this as a pictus gecko.

A lot of good information there for caring for these little guys.

I've seen it as both P. picta and P. pictus, and I really have no idea which one is 'official'. I do know the gecko has been a 'Pictus gecko' since I first started researching herps in the early 1990s.

I also want to complain that some sort of automatic filter is capitalizing those species names when I post. I did not capitalize them, because of course, only the genus name should be capitalized.

Do they still say it gets 20" long? I got in an argument (really more of me taunting the thick headed employee) at a Petsmart because their tag said it got 20" at max size and when I made fun of it to my friend the employee got quite offended and defensive. I also got a crested gecko there that year for 6.99 because it was in the house gecko cage!
