any breeders sell BPs that are eating F/T rats?
Any breeders out there selling BPs that are feeding on F/T rats? PM me if you prefer not to post a public response. Just curious, that's all.

    Thanks,

    Hi,

Quite a few of the breeders would be willing to take the time to convert an animal to your choice of food I should think.

I think most of them feed a mixture of F/T and live anyway - I'm sure I have heard both Adam from 8ball pythons and Brian from BHB mention this.

I tend to try and get many of my animals I am keeping back to take F/T it makes it easier when the rats run short. As far as selling them eating F/T, I have fed an animal or two F/T just to make sure that they will take them. Many of my animals as babys are such great eaters that they will go back and forth..Now I do have some that will eat F/T for months then just decide they want no part of it any more..

I got back and forth between live and f/t depending on what I have available. But for the most part everyone is offered f/t first (after they have been established) and then offered live if they don't take the f/t that week. Some eat f/t every week.

I always recommend that people try live for an animal's first meal in a new home. Just to make sure it's eating. Snakes can be picky about f/t as well. Some prefer higher quality f/t rodents than some people buy and other snakes will eat anything lol :)

    Hope that helps!

I try and get everything eating f/t. All my adults eat f/t, and at this point, most of my 09s are as well. Each year I have a few that won't switch or are extremely difficult; however, most babies switch over after a few live feedings in my experience.
