    S373 Effort: Special Thanks
I wanted to thank the three shops that were kind and generous enough to help with the S373 effort. They took in my poster and piles of the USARK letters for signatures.

Thank you to Tammy (owner) and Melanie of The Critter Collection in Hesperia, CA!

And to Becky, Eric and Renee of WFReptiles/All Exotics/Critter Condos in Montclair and Chino, CA!

    You guys are AWESOME!

I'll be mailing the letters overnight to USARK first thing in the morning.

I haven't done a good count, but it is about 85 for each senator.

It is not as many as I had hoped, but we just had a show in the area last weekend and I think many of the folks that shop these stores may have signed them already at the USARK booth at the show.

85 x 2 is more than zero, so I am thrilled about that!

85 is still very good. We didn't have any shows here in WI during January to have letters signed. The WIRE show in Madison isn't until April :(

One minor thing to point out though, you left out Retics on the second poster;)

Oops...you are right, I did leave them out! I had informational sheets set out, though. They had the URLs for USARK and Nat Pet for folks to learn more about this issue.

Congrats on your letter collecting efforts too!

Thanks Jessica. What I have been doing here in WI is setting up stacks of letters to each senator on separate clipboards at a local reptile specialty store and some of the larger multi-department stores with reptile sections and included a brief Info sheet on the ban and instructions for signing letters and placing them in a folder. No big and fancy posters like yours though. Posters might not be a bad idea though. I didn't think of that :)
I then arranged to return to these stores at a later date to collect any signed letters. Think of what I have been doing here as sort of a self service station.

It actually took me until when I learned that USARK extended the deadline to figure out that this was the most effective way, IMO, to gather signatures. But now that I have, I will know what to do right away for the next letter writing campaign that I'm sure we will have to do.

PetCo on 72nd and Dodge in Omaha also allowed setup for letter signing. Nebraska Herpetological did the work. Kudos to both.

Jennifer - wow! Huge kudos to you for putting together the displays and getting the stores to help out! That's the passion and the drive I wish we saw in more folks! :gj::gj::gj::gj:
