Help? Different python species...

So I've had Ball Pythons for years and I would say I know what I am doing caring for them, recently I have come into caring for a Jungle Carpet Python and I was just wondering if the care and husbandry is all that much different from a normal ball? Any and all input is greatly appreciated, thank you.

I've been reading on them, but I was more wondering from people who have kept both, txt only says so much ya know? But thanks for the links.

from when I had a ball and moved to carpets the care didn't change that much. I offer a warm end and cool end that varies a lot so almost any python can find a happy medium for them. It ranges from about 89 to about 80 in most of my cages. Some people thing balls should be warmer, but mine at great and shed pretty good. Humidity is the only thing that I'd bump up and I probably should have on my ball. I live in AL where humidity is always high anyways. 65% + on most days. Carpets are super easy to care for and eat much better than balls from what I've seen. I'm sure some of the members have some savage eating ball pythons. As Anthony C. puts it (IIRC) internal hydration is key. If you have more specific questions people would probably be more inclined to answer.

i keep em both in the same racks, hot side 92 both do fine. Carpets do tend to move their hide away from the heat, or just not use it at all tho. I find them to be a little smarter than most snakes.

My adult carpet is in a cage tho, I keep her at 90 on the hot side

I mist all my snakes every other day, except the ATB (everyday) and anyone in sheds gets it everyday. I don't measure humidity so I can't tell you %'s but I have perfect sheds everytime with all my snakes.

Really I don't see a difference in caring for them, carpets get bigger tho lol.

I have both. The only thing i do different is i mist my jungle twice a week. Same with my bredli carpet. My ball just once a week. My jungle is nine years old and i never had a problem with sheds. When she in shed i mist her once a day. I will tell you that she stops feeding from mid-nov. to about late feb. She done it every sents she was about three years old. I just figure it's because it's breeding season. Never bred her, but when they get sex on the mind they don't care about anything else.
