    Hatchrite users (Ball Pythons)
    When using hatchrite,do you:

    1. Keep a small hole in the lid throughout incubation and never touch it
    2. keep a small hole in the lid and open the entire lid from time to time
    3. keep the lid sealed and open it once a day
    4. keep the lid sealed throughout incubation and never open it

    Your thoughs and experiences please

    My 6qt tubs were not perfectly sealed last year and the hatchrite dried out after 2-3 weeks and I had to add water up till they hatched.
    A pain in the ...

    This year I will use hatchrite in sealed containers :P

    sealed containers with one or two small holes. I generally add or cover up holes depending on how much condensation I am getting. for the first 30-40 days I open the lid and wipe off excess condensation from the lid once a week. around day 40 or so I start opening more and more often mostly to candle the eggs. so far I have had a 100% hatch rate for fertile eggs.

    I use no holes and check every few days...
