Zoos Ignorace

So it's been maybe 3 years since I saw this, and wounder if its still like this or what else might I find wrong, knowing more now then I did then.

There's a zoo about 5 miles from me that had a rattle snake I believe (been awhile) but anyways they had a bit of barbwire strung around the cage to give it a southern look I suppose..

You could even see where the snake was bleeding from being stabbed by the barbwire.. :taz:

Even if you don't know anything about snakes.. How would that sound like a good idea? Just dumbfounds me.

This part might not be true because I heard it from word of mouth, but a friend told me they knew someone who worked there and they said to them that the zoo had a tub full of them. Possibly because they die on them often?

Should I do something about this? Even though it has been awhile, but I was thinking about it and I doubt much has changed.

Maybe an email to PETA or something?

PETA is evil! If you call them they might seize the snake, and do terrible things to it! Why don't you try talking to the person that works with the snake?

Have you been following the current legislative proposed laws to restrict your rights to own snakes?

PETA and the HSUS are spearheading it.

Talk to the zoo

Talk to the zoo directly, if that doesn't work contact your local ASPCA or sheriff's department.

First and foremost, go see for yourself if any of this is true before reporting it.
