Wish Me Luck!
Well, after 4 years in the Air Force, I'm finally done with my enlistment. Tomorrow's my last day at work, and my husband and I are driving out of Vegas Saturday morning on a long trip to Virginia.
I cannot express how excited and relieved I am. It's a big change, but I get to go back to school on the government's dime, and actually get the skills for a career I'll love.
Besides, there are WAY more reptile shows near VA than there are out here. :D Tim, Tom, Heather, I wish I would've gotten to know you guys sooner, but it was awesome to meet you, and I'll definitely take you out for drinks if you're ever out my direction.
Peace out, Vegas.

Congrats! And have a safe drive. Its beautiful! We drove from San Clemente CA to Fredericksburg Va and it was an awesome drive filled with even better views!
What part of VA are you coming to?

Re: Wish Me Luck!
Thanks everyone! :D
Tina, we're moving to Williamsburg, but we were actually seriously considering Fredericksburg! My husband's got family up near DC, and more family out near Kilmarnock, so Fredericksburg was convenient to both. It was a toss-up for me between Mary Washington and William and Mary, but W&M finally won out because of its stronger biology program. So, off to Williamsburg we're going! :gj:

Re: Wish Me Luck!
That's awesome, I know exactly how you feel.
I wasn't fortunate enough to serve just four years. I got put on stop loss and my career field was one of the last three to get removed after 9/11. Be especially thankful you're separating as scheduled.
My drive home I left Whiteman AFB, MO and made my first and only stop just outside of Denver. From there I drove 18 hours straight to get home in California, it was already long overdue.
The GI Bill is really nice! And you get a better one than I have that started last year!

Re: Wish Me Luck!
Congratulations. I'd like to raise my glass to you. I've been doing this for a long time. My mom said I was a natural.
