My male spider is going NUTS!!!
Well tonight I was doing some feedings and noticed one of my normal girls didn't want to eat. She always pounds on her rats, but the last 2 feedings she hasn't paid attention to the rats. Anyways my male spider is also off feed. He was also breeding to my other normal girl and just now I noticed he was glowing. He looks like a honeybee. So I decided to give my normal girl a try and threw my male spider in with her and also some moist snake shed. And once that spider smelled it he went crazy!!! He started thrashing all over the cage, so I had to take out the shed skin and he still is having a hissy fit. Well I hope he breeds to this girl cuz my other normal he's breeding too hasn't gone off feed and hasn't shown any signs of ovulation, follicle growth. So i'm hoping for the best.

Sorry for the long post. Hope everyone's breeding is going well. :gj::gj:

I have two males that do that also but once they are in for awhile they settle down. Sometimes it takes a few hrs but they always do settle eventually. And I noticed it is only with a few select females that they do it to but not them all.

Yea, he relaxed a little now. I think he's going after the female. I see her running around the tub. Hoping she goes. Cuz when she was 900g. she locked up once with one of my males and now she doesn't wanna do anything. She's currently about 1650g.

Are you sure your normal you put him with is a girl? Many times when two males are put together you see some "thrashing" or dominance "fighting" as you described. Has your normal laid eggs before?

If you put me in a tub with just one female I might go a little nuts too. He might want some variety...

I knew this question was coming. Yes "she" is a she. Like I said, she locked up in the past once with one of my boys but she was only 900g. so i didn't keep breeding her then. Now she's around 1650g. and I'm starting to breed her now.
