    Tip of tail..fell off?!?!
Hey guys...my baby bp wasn't shedding the end of her tail so I soaked her for a few and went at it with a paper towel (gently!). Well, not only did the shed come right off but it took the very tip of her tail with it. I'm applying pressure right now. She didn't seem to notice or care in the least.

    Pics to follow...

If there were enough old, stuck sheds...then it can cut off circulation and kill the tissue. Glad it was just the very tip. While some stuck patches on the back or sides won't hurt...a fully encircling left-over shed can definitely have detrimental affects. I don't think there's any lasting harm done in this case...just that you'll have a snake with a somewhat rounded, stubby tail now.

The end of her tail isn't as black as it looks in the picture.

Should I be putting neosporin or bacitracin on it?

I would say yes, but only the kind with no painkiller in it, that's important :)
