Re: What to start off with??
I'm trying to get started without dropping alot of cash down on the snakes. If money was no problem then i'd get a male and female bumble bee but i can't drop that much at first ya know
Re: What to start off with??
This is just what I think...
If you really want a bumble bee to enjoy now, then hunt for a deal on a hatchling male. And you'll most likely be able to find a sub-adult or adult female pastel later on. If you really just want to breed the python, and you think it'd be exciting to create a bumble bee, then pick up a spider girl and hunt for your pastel male. I think having the pastel as the male makes options better and broader. :)
I personally am a big fan of spiders, but not too much into the bumble bee... a little too loud / busy coloring.
Re: What to start off with??
Totally agree with the above post. Want the morph now or want to experience producing it? :gj:
Re: What to start off with??
I started out wilh 1.1 pastel, and 0.2 spiders..... grew from there super pastel and bees were my hope starting up... im hoping to produce a super black pastel next season
Re: What to start off with??
I think getting a bumblebee right off the bat would save time and possible headaches if you don't hit the odds right. (which isn't hard, but it's possible.)
I think you'd spend as much money either way. Lets say you buy the two snakes. You have to feed the female for 2 years, feed the male for 1 year. Buying them shouldn't cost much, no more than $350 I'd assume. Actually you'd probly spend less buying the two snakes, but you'd distance yourself from breeding bumblebees.
Meh, I'll stick to saying it's personal preference.
Re: What to start off with??
i'd love the excitement of seeing the bee born from the pastel x spider. It's just what to get the pastel 1.0 or 0.1 and the same with the spider. I dont know what i'd do after having the bumblebee. Breed it to a pastel????
Re: What to start off with??
start with a pastel x spider. Its always fun to breed the snakes and see what you produce. You also will gain the proper knowledge and get a hang of breeding in no time.
Re: What to start off with??
i know i will be super happy to see a bumble bee come out that egg. Thats why I want to do the pastel x spider. I just dont know what sex I should get the pastel and spider as. I need to sit back take a breather and think about what I want to do with this breeding idea.
I dont know what I want to do after I get the bumble bee. I have alot of options with the bee in breeding terms. Maybe do super pastel's then a super pastel x bumble bee.

get a female pastel and male spider.
if you get a male bee from that the next year you can breed the bee back to the pastel and get killerbees
