    First Lock woohoo!
Hey guys, this season is my first attempt at breeding and yesterday i introduced my male orange ghost to my normal female at 4:30 pm. I went to checked on em in the middle of the night and they had a potential lock goin on. Well, theyve been locked ever since lol and i wanted to move the male back to give him some rest but I dont wanna jus pullem apart and hurt anybody. What should i do? Should i wait for them to stop breeding and then put the male back in his tub? Any suggestions would help.

    thanks, Dylan

Congrats on your first lock! :D

You can just leave them together until they are ready to separate, then move the male back.

Just leave them alone. They may stay locked for a day or 2.

I would give him a couple days or more before pulling him out. Most of my males have more time with the females than out. Unless the vent begins looking red. Then they get a longer break.

Never try to pull them apart if locked.

Congrats on the first lock! I just had my first lock a few days ago! As the others have said leave him with her. They can lock anywhere from 4-24 hours. Once they "unlock" take him out and let him rest for at least three days. Once they locked they aren't going to lock again.

just leave them till they unlock and then remove the female and give him a few days rest and try and feed him. If she will take food that wouldnt hurt either. Some of my females continue to eat and some are on strike right now. Same goes for my males.
