Space heater shoratage in FL

So I just went to Lowe's to pick a space heater for the room I keep my snake only to find out we are in a state wide shortage. The Lowe's i went to carries about 25 different types of heaters form 30-500 dollars and not a single one was left. Hmmmm not good for my tank temps. Any ideas on how to raise the tank temps. I have a UTH and infared heat light but still low on the temps 75 F or so......32 degrees in the day is not FL weather. :weirdface

My Ace hardware had plenty. Call around.
Otherwise cover the tank up with insulating blankets or tape styrofoam around the sides. Be aware of any potential fire hazard.

Forgot about ACE I'll be giving them a call now....Target, Wal-mart, Lowes, and home depot are out up here. Each place told me the same story of the shortage. Thanks for the info.

Maybe try Craigslist? If you really need one you could order one online. Or maybe ask the stores if you could order one through them.

I'd drive as far as I needed to to get a heater.

You could also go to Ace Hardware and buy "Reflectix"

Wrap your cage with that and that would probably do the trick as well

Purchase one on-line, and expedite shipping. it will cost far less than losing your reptiles. :snake:

I do believe Im gonna move my tank into my living room and wrap it with blankets.....also im gonna grab one more heat lamp and just mist the tank so he doesnt get too dry. I called Lowes and home depot and they told me that there is no way to even order one from them right now. Its not that i dont have heat in my house....lol.....it seems to be the two back bedrooms of the house just dont get as warm bc the thermostat is in the living room..........Wolfy where are you located? If its within 30 min or so Id drive no problem. If you dont want to post you can PM me. Thank you all for the ideas and hopfully we can get back to the FL weather soon

I'm quite a bit north of you, just below Jacksonville. I called around this morning and they're sold out now(sold the last one yesterday afternoon), or I'd drive it down to meet you close to your house. Sorry. I'll keep calling.
