So Jaden Simth (Will Smith's son) is Ralph Machio and Jackie Chan is Pat Morita. There's a single mom and her son that move to China and Jaden Smtih is picked on by bullies for being American or something. A kindly old Jackie Chan saves young Jaden from get his butt kicked further by said bullies and agrees to teach him kung fu.... *needle coming off record sound*

I've seen the trailers for this several times now. And while I have no problem with them remaking a classic 80's iconinc movie, and it looks like it might be decent, I do have a problem with it being called "The Karate Kid" when there is no Karate. They need to change this to "The Kung Fu Kid."
