Whats better Herpstat or Helix
Just got Helix dbs 1000 thermostat just wanted to get thoughts one herpstat or helix for next time thanks
Re: Whats better Herpstat or Helix
Most people prefer the herpstat over the helix from what I have observed. I don't own either so I have no personal experience on this one. Both are just as reliable though.
Re: Whats better Herpstat or Helix
I have both, and I like the Herpstat better because on the Helix you have to press and hold the button down to adjust the temps, it has to go from the current temp to 110 and then back to 65 and then up in +1 increments, which isnt a big deal but it's enough for me to prefer the Herpstat. On the Herpstat you just hit the plus or minus and go up or down.
Re: Whats better Herpstat or Helix
I have a herpstat and love it. No experience with a Helix.
Re: Whats better Herpstat or Helix
I have 2x herpstats for almost 2 years now, no problems here. I do know people with both, and no major issues with either.
Re: Whats better Herpstat or Helix
own both and will only buy herpstat II or pro from here on out, you have much more control with the herpstat easier to use, more functions , gives high low read out hi low alarm no need for adaptor to use night drop feature herpstat II can control 2 diff temp zones and herpstat pro has 4
Re: Whats better Herpstat or Helix
I just got the Herpstat II and its amazing. The two probes lets me control my rack and cages seperately and keeps everything perfect. The setup is awsome and i have so many options with it. Night drop, moonlight, sunset, sunrise cycle. Its perfect. Go with the herpstat.
Re: Whats better Herpstat or Helix
I have 2 herpstat II and a regular herpstat I love them. I have never used helix though.
Re: Whats better Herpstat or Helix
i use a helix and it does the job...
Re: Whats better Herpstat or Helix
Herpstat ND FTW. Much more userfriendly, night drop built in, great customer service at Spyder Robotics.
In case anyone's planning to get one in the future, they always run Christmas sales around Novemeber (probably not useful info atm)
