curious about my susbstrate

ok so this is the susbstrate i'm using, my tank looks different now but i'm using this type of substrate, i was curious if i can re use it, like when i clean out the tank can i clean the substrate with some type of solution and re use it? thank you...

Even if you could, I wouldn't. Any kind of reusable substrate will just grow bacteria and smell awful.

so best thing is buying whole new substrate? curious to whehn should i change it?

I would spot clean for a month or two and then change it out.

honestly i spot clean the cage whenever needed, clean the bowls out once a week or whenever they get alot of aspen in it. and do a routine cleaning on the first of everymonth. i dont take any chances in the cleanliness of my balls.
