Yet ANOTHER problem.
Today was feeding day, and after I fed my cinny I noticed she was VERY wrinkly down near her tail area, and "discoloured" in some areas of her body. I provide fresh water every day, and got my humidity under control after denting in her eye caps. She took her 2 mice and when I was putting her hides and things back in I noticed the wrinkles. I soaked her for 30 minutes and let her run through a warm and damp wash cloth just incase. Unlike I said in my other thread, she is not in shed, but she looks dull and miscoloured in some areas.
I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I mist both of them 6 times a day, and make sure the humidity and temperatures stay right near / right on the temperatures you guys have recommended.

Having to mist 6 times a day?
What kind of enclosure are you using? Heating method?
What are your actual temps?
Any pictures of the animal?

Re: Yet ANOTHER problem.
I'm using glass terrariums, and the room I have them in has barely any humidity in it. I'm making some humidifiers tomorrow.
My temps are 90 on the hot side and 83 on the hot side for the cinny, and 91 and 85 for my pastel. I'm using the accurite. And for heating methods I'm using over head lights, I'm getting heat pads soon though.

Re: Yet ANOTHER problem.
You could always BUY a room humidifier though too:D
It sounds like she could have retained shed.....
Could be burns....
Scale rot of some sort?
Really hard to say without pictures.

Re: Yet ANOTHER problem.
Has she urinated/defecated recently? Sometimes a "large load," when passed, will leave the tail area a little shrunken & wrinkled...Especially at the beginning/during a shed cycle. When was the last time she shed?

Re: Yet ANOTHER problem.
I've tried room humidifiers. I actually have one in there now but it's barely doing its job.
I don't see any burns, or anything that looks like burns.
As for retained shed goes, when I got her from an expo, I COMPLETELY checked her out, she had a little bit of loose shed which I removed with a wet cotton swab when I got home. She hasn't shed in my care (but looked like she was about to).
I don't see any signs of scale rot.
Do you think it might be dehydration? I usually put fresh water in every day, and completely clean the bowls every 3 days, but I have never seen her drink.
As for moving my snakes into another room (which you might have suggested next), not going to happen. I'm a highschool student in a 2 bedroom apartment with my father and he's already said I can't move the snakes into a different room.

I haven't seen feces within the past few days, but I've cleaned urine & urate a few times, which is why I don't think dehydration is possible.

We could probably figure out what was wrong with pictures, if possible.

Re: Yet ANOTHER problem.
Alright guys, I was at my friends house when I started this thread, and when I got home I found out she shed. 3/4's of it was off of her, so I let her soak for 15 minutes and let her run through a warm damp cloth and the rest came off.
She is not wrinkly anymore. I have the humidifiers made and they are doing an excellent job.
But I'm still confused about something. In the thread I started before this one I said that when I was showing my friends my snakes she was dull and blue-eyed, and the next day she wasn't, and didn't go back to looking dull.
Can ball pythons (actually any snake) show signs of shedding and then loose it and still shed? Or was I doing something wrong? I just want to know cause this didn't happen with my pastel.

actually for a few days. they will go 'blue' then appear to be normal afew days after the blue stage before shedding. :)
