    Trying to Guage...
... My BPs actual age. Not a life or death issue, but it just offers a piece of mind.

I adopted the little cutie (female, though I didn't know 'til a month later ) on August 25th, to be exact. The rescuer said she was "about 3 months old." That would make her a May '09 hatchling.

So, in short, is this a common month for BPs to hatch? I mostly hear of June, July, and August babies, but not May. I'm thinking the rescuer (whom I respect highly, by the way) may have given me a rough estimation as to her age. I'd just like to know what the "hot" months are for hatching, to gauge if she might be younger than what I originally thought.

On an off note, she's titled as 'under a year old', and that's all she will be to me until mid-2010. This is just for piece of mind. Thanks, guys! :gj:

PS: She was a wee 87 grams when I picked her up. She's now over 350 grams. Woohoo! :D

they can hatch any month of the year. I just had a clutch of lessers that hatched 12/11/09 and my first clutch hatched in June, these all started the breeding season at the same time. just did a trade for a piedbald that hatched 12/30/09. hasn't even gone thru his first shed yet. go with what you been told, close enough, when the snake gets older you won't be saying an 5/09 snake. it will be an 09 snake. But many do hatch around June to Aug. Snakes also hatch out in May. hope this helps you some. Don
