    monitoring temperatures
i've got a digital thermometer with probe, but my collection is growing so rapidly that it's becoming a hassle to keep moving it around to check temps. i have to unstick the electrical tape, stick it where i want to measure, and then wait awhile to get an accurate reading. so screw that! i want a tempgun!

i found THIS tempgun to be a very affordable price, and the shipping is even reasonable.

now since it's only $30, that seems pretty cheap to me. does that mean i'm gonna get what i pay for, or is this tempgun okay for general reptile use? please advise

wow there up to 30 now, yes Katia there are great in my opnion, and i bought a couple for the same reason you did, after 3 snakes, then the rack, it works great there are other models and they are great too, but for a couple snakes its fine. may sound dumb but when i first got mine i was checking the temp of everything

awesome, i will be picking one of these up very soon, probably from Cornel's World as well! I have ordered from him in the past, and Greg is great. Answers questions quickly and ships quickly too! It's also a bonus that he's in Canada, it's so great not having to worry about things getting stuck at the border/having to pay duty/GST/whatever else they want to ding you for!

Not to mention with the balls locking up, i think i'll be needing a long row of flexwatt to heat the unbuilt baby rack. Better get on that soon!

The Pro Exotics tempgun is the best one out there. :gj: I've been using one for about a year now and it's still running on the original batteries, has always been exact, and has never given me troubles of any kind. It also can measure ambient and water temps. ;)

P.S. Saw your Flickr, love your photography!
