which thermostat?

Which one is better, the prewired Ranco or Johnson? Or neither, should I just get a Herpstat?

their all good just ranco/Johnson are on off type while herpstats and helix are proportional.

Which is better in a rack?

really dont matter which is better in a rack. i use all 3 in racks no problems

I would say all of them are very reliable when it comes to a rack system but the herpstat would be better for an incubator.
