    What to feed my bearded dragons
    Hey guys,

    uhh, what should i feed my bearded dragons?


    right now im feeding them superworms,crickets, carrots, and lettuce and rep-cal juvenile pellets

    is that a good meal for a bit?


    oh and, how do i get some crickets in the exoterra tank without them jumping and escaping?

    dont feed them lettuce, collard greens or dandelion greens are a much better staple diet

    arugala is good our beadie loves it, blue berry's are good too one and awhile though.. try www.beautifuldragon.com i think thats the one most ppl post one here to look at.. have fun, they grow fast

    also check out beardeddragon.org for ideas for meat (works, crix, roaches etc)

    im feeding mine collard greens and butternut squash as well as dubia roaches and shes loving it :D

    +1 on arugula. For herps that need greens, they are a great thing to throw in.

    Look into roaches as a replacement for crickets if you want to cut down on jumping. There are other slight benefits as well. I'm getting myself a colony of dubia roaches started up pretty soon, you can breed your own and they produce various sizes as they grow up for various sized reptiles. There are multiple species of roaches available.

    P.S. don't forget, variety is definitely a good thing!

    Carrots aren't a great idea, your beardie can get vitamin A toxicity.
