Both are the exact same thing. Just find one you like regardless of the name and buy it.

From what everyone is saying they are the same morph. Just different lines. I was in the same boat. I couldn't decide which to buy because i only had room for one male at the time. I went with the Lesser because i liked the way they look as adults.

I think they do have some subtle differences, at least ones I've seen. IMO butters seem to have a "richer" color to them, thus I bought a butter. But that's just my opinion, and they're both great. So go with whatever animal you like more.

Find the best example that you can of either, and you won't be disappointed.

My lesser, Paxton, produced by John Vandegrift (pfan151)

As it is being said more, "they're the same" the prices are staying closer. And the butter isn't coming down, the lesser is going up. I missed a good opportunity!

I was seeing lessers for under $300, now everything I see is around ~$400.

Prices go down at the end of the summer. I call it the omg it's going to get cold rush to sell. Then the prices go back to where they were with the breeders that ship all winter. The first babies of the year are still high because there aren't many yet then as the season goes on they go down and stable out.
