    cannibal mice feeders
:O my girlfriend recently bought two feeder mice for our ball python. i was out of town for the holidays, and she kept them in a small pet container.. well she didnt feed because of all the holiday running... and one of the mice died.. the remaining one ate almost all of the other one... when i returned, i killed the live one and disposed of it. i didn't want to feed my snake something that was eating on another mouse that had possibly been dead for a couple of days.. has anyone had a problem with this?

why would you waste a rodent just because he ate his cagemate?? A mouse is a mouse isn't it?

Various reasons for death and cannibalism.

Mouse died of natural causes the other one cleaned up, mice are scavengers they will clean up and dispose of the dead ones.

    Stress.

    Overcrowded conditions.

    Insufficient food and/or water.

Males will sometime fight to death.

    etc
