    Parental neglect
One of my 1.3 colonies had 3 litters within a week. The last litter dropped a few days ago. There are well over 30 little ones all under a week and a half old to just a few days old. It seems that all of the mothers have abandoned the nest. The adults are in a pile in the corner and the babies are in a pile across the tub all by themselves. It's been like this all day today. I'm getting nervous that the mothers aren't going to feed these little ones and they are going to starve. Does anyone know what is going on here, and how I can fix it?

They will feed, the mothers sometimes will relax away from the babies. You have 3 nursing females so they will be fed.

One of the mommas is back on the nest this morning. Hopefully the other two get in gear.

1.2 groups are better for many reasons. ONE of those reasons is when there is three litters of babies, usually at least one of the moms will get lazy and stop nursing... this puts a strain on the other two.... this can cause babies to die, and will almost always make the kids grow slower cause they are getting less food.
