Re: Do they read our emails?
Welcome to the Socialist Republic of America. In my state of Maryland, I get the same canned answer from my 2 senators. I have sent them a number of emails and I get the same reply, just a different subject matter. Word for word.

I'd personally write a letter to the editor of your local paper. That should turn some heat up somewhere.
Re: Do they read our emails?
We've tried that too. We've got one newspaper and they lean towards the farts of our representatives. So, it's useless trying to make your point through the editor much less through the OpEd page.
Montana is looking better every day!

you dont always have to go to your local paper, you can hit up the news in citys around you till someone does something.

I live near Baltimore Maryland, we have one paper, the Baltimore Sun. If we went to another town it would be Washington DC, somewhere in Deleware or Philadelphia. These papers to the north, could care less about the plight of a Baltimorian, or BaltiMORON as I like to call us. We can't get any satisifaction.

Re: Do they read our emails?
I also received canned response letters....
Re: Do they read our emails?
Has anyone tried to send letter mail that is registered so the senator has to sign for the letter.?? Might be worth the cost.

I am going to do that. I checked and I can submit a message right online. Whether they post it or not is a different story.
Re: Do they read our emails?
I've asked a guy from my church who works on various republican campaigns at the local and state level. He said that the politicians rarely if ever actually read any correspondences they receive (or listen to phone messages). They simply don't have the time. Instead, staff members read it and tally the numbers based on what it says. Then they brief the politician as to how the "wind" is blowing so he/she can vote appropriately. Same goes for the democrats. The process is essentially the same.
