    New Wound On Head...
My 3 year old Female has been in shed for the last week or so and last night she started her actually shedding of the skin. I went in today to check on her and saw a bunch of shed in the cage so i figured i'd soak her and help get the rest off. I just switched her to a vision cage and she had a lot better shed than before, just i need to rise the humidity a little more during shed. I took her out and noticed a new wound on her head. I fed her a week ago, so this isn't a rodent bite and its very fleshy so it just happened. It looked like she rubbed the driftwood in her cage a little too hard and pulled up an actual scale. I included pictures, but wanted to know if i should do anything for it or if i should just let it heal and next shed it will be better?

Thats a shed related problem and is normal at times. To clean it use betadine and apply polysporin to the area 3 times daily. Make sure humidity it high next shed cycle.

Also if you have any objects that are real rough take them out

What is betadine and where would i get some of it? At a Drugstore or someplace like that? Also is Neosporin close enough to heal the wound? Or should i get something more specific?
Thanks for the help, i removed the really rough piece of driftwood.

Betadine you can get at any drugstore/pharmacy. Polysporin is the best but costs more. YOu can use neosporin as long as it has no painkilled in it.
