Breeding Trouble

We have tried everything this year to create the proper environment for breeding, and we have had absolutely no luck (1 copulation in over a month and it was at the very beginning). Last year we didn't have any trouble with breeding.

Environmental cues done - Light cycling, temp cycling, misting cages, and putting males together (males will not even battle when placed together)

Males involved in breeding are both virgins and half of the females are virgins as well. All snakes are of weight and age. Does anyone have any creative ideas to get this process kick-started, or is there something we are missing?

It's still early. I wouldn't worry yet. Have you tried all of the common tricks (pairing just after the female sheds, another males sperm plugs on the female, misting...)?

Also keep in mind that because you do not see a lock does not mean it doesn't happen.

Keep pairing, try to do so during rainy / snowy days.

Last season I only saw one for sure lock and got eggs. I don't do anything special. I don't drop temps or light cycle. I just plop a male in with a female for 3 days on/3 days off. That's it. It is still very early in the season. They have plenty of time.

Don't feel bad I paired up 6 pairs last night and this morning they are all locked.. But this is the first lock I've seen in over 6 weeks

Thanks for the encouragement! I'm just going stay the course and hope for Eggs! Oh, yes i have tried misting as well as about every other normal cue. I'm hoping they are just shy and like to do there business while no one is watching. :cool:
