    eARLY BREEDING QUEST...
hi everyone i have a female normal bp. I have been looking into getting a male to mate with but im wondering if the normal will produce anything other than normals. I've been looking at pastel and clowns. Im wondering if i do this w/a normal will she have anything other morphs if mated to another morph

If you breed it to any dominante or co-dominant morph you will produce some of that morph. If you breed it to a recessive like the clown it will only make heterozygous AKA "Hets" for that morph and they will all look normal but will carry the gene you need to produce that morph.

Answer above... so I'd recommend choosing your favorite dominant or co-dominant morph, and invest in a male to breed with your normal. I started with a pastel (x normal), and now starting to introduce my male mojave. :)

P.S. You can try this handy genetic wizard, to see what each combo will produce... just select "wildtyp" (last on the list) for normal. Oh, and choose Ball Python under "Species Select" if it defaults to corn snakes. :gj:
